Profile - Freelance Travel Photographer

Currently based in Asia, Kimberley Coole is available for assignment or commission both locally and internationally, specialising in travel photography. Her work is represented by two of the world’s leading travel photography agencies, Lonely Planet Images and Robert Harding World Imagery, and through them her photographs have been reproduced in various newspapers, magazines and guidebooks.

Two of my great passions in life are travel and photography. It is an amazing experience to observe and photograph such varied cultures and I see it as a great privilege that I am able to share the beauty and diversity of the world I've seen with others. The images taken by other photographers have inspired me throughout my many adventures, so now I hope my own contributions will inspire others to go out and see the world for themselves.

My philosophy is to take positive photographs highlighting the best a place has to offer, whether that is the vibrancy of the landscapes or traditional costumes, the warmth and friendliness of the people or the architectural grandeur of its ancient monuments.

As a tourism board, we rely heavily on beautiful pictures to promote our destination. Pictures speak a thousand words; they do most of the talking for us to convince travellers to journey to our country. As such, we expect to use only the pictures to portray our country.

We believe that good images of our country are essential in the promotion and branding of the Faroe Islands and we are therefore constantly looking for new photographers who can see the Faroe Islands through their fresh and unbiased eyes.

Kimberley Coole travelled to the Faroe Islands this spring. We are very pleased with the result of her work and the fantastic new images she has given us.
