Two of my great passions in life are travel and photography. It is an amazing experience to observe and photograph such varied cultures and I see it as a great privilege that I am able to share the beauty and diversity of the world I've seen with others.

The images taken by other photographers have inspired me throughout my many adventures, so now I hope my own contributions will inspire others to go out and see the world for themselves.

Described by past clients as professional, unique, exceptional and inspiring, UK based award winning photographer Kimberley Coole is available for assignment or commission both locally and internationally, specialising in travel photography. Her photographs have been featured in numerous publications, both on the covers and internally, she has been interviewed by high profile photography magazines, and she has undertaken assignments from both Tourism Boards and Airlines.

Kimberley’s work is represented exclusively by the world's leading stock photography agency, Getty Images, within the Lonely Planet Images Collection. When time permits, Kimberley travels to create new and exciting stock imagery to add to her already large and vibrant collection.

Kimberley Coole is a member of the X-Rite’s prestigious Coloratti group. For followers of her work it will already be clear that colour plays a significant role in all of her imagery, so to have one of the world’s leading colour calibration companies and self declared “Colour Perfectionists” recognise this is one of Kimberley’s biggest achievements to date.

For those of you who have not heard of this particular group of photographers, here is some information taken directly from the X-Rite website:

“X-Rite’s Coloratti includes the world’s top professional photographers, a group whose vision, passion, leadership, and partnership are recognized and valued by X-Rite. Coloratti photographers are highly respected by their peers and are admired by up-and-coming professionals, enthusiasts, and students alike.

The Coloratti understand the importance of implementing colour management in their workflow and freely share their knowledge on how to get the very best colour for all your images, no matter how it is presented – on screen or in print. The Coloratti photographers have a dedicated passion for the world of photography and achieving accurate colour is presented in many of their workshops, seminars and at sponsored X-Rite events. They foster creativity in others and inspire their students and audiences to easily master colour control in their imagery and their art.

We’re confident you will be as enthusiastic about our Coloratti photographers as we are!”

This is to confirm that Kimberley Coole has been a photographer for Lonely Planet Images for over two years. During this time, we have found her work to be of a consistently high standard; not only do her images standout, but the accompanying metadata is also meticulously prepared and presented.

She is a prolific contributor to our library; and one that contributes dynamic and original images that add colour and flair to our collection. She is also extremely pleasant and cooperative to deal with on a personal level and I would have no hesitation recommending her to you.

As a tourism board, we rely heavily on beautiful pictures to promote our destination. Pictures speak a thousand words; they do most of the talking for us to convince travellers to journey to our country. As such, we expect to use only the pictures to portray our country.

We were very pleased to work with Kimberley Coole. Not only is she professional and easy to work with, she has a unique photographic eye that can capture exceptional images. She was open to suggestions and fully understood what we needed for our purposes, yet was able to deliver work that far exceeded what we had hoped for.

Her outstanding skills have delivered us pictures that are timeless; ones which we will be able to use for a long time, not only because of their outstanding quality, but because they represent our destination perfectly. She comes highly-recommended and we hope to work with her again in the future.

Nayef H. Al Fayez - Managing Director, Jordan Tourism Board

We believe that good images of our country are essential in the promotion and branding of the Faroe Islands and we are therefore constantly looking for new photographers who can see the Faroe Islands through their fresh and unbiased eyes.

Kimberley Coole travelled to the Faroe Islands this spring. We are very pleased with the result of her work and the fantastic new images she has given us. The pictures she has taken capture the essence of the Faroe Islands and are already part of the images we use in the promotion of our country and will be for a long time.

In addition to being a brilliant photographer Kimberley Coole is also very easy and flexible to work with. Changes in the programmes and new wishes were part of her assignment for us and her positive attitude and energy was very inspiring.

We would be happy to give Kimberley Coole our highest recommendations and to work with with her again in the future.

Sigmundur Isfeld - Director, Faroese Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Kimberley was selected as a multi-image finalist for the prestigious Travel Photographer of the Year Award 2012. One of the images chosen for the finals received a commendation from the judges and was exhibited at the Royal Geographical Society in London.

“The Travel Photographer of the Year award is a photography contest that's run by photographers for photographers. It's open to photographers from all countries and is judged by leading photography experts.

TPOTY is about getting amazing international exposure for your work and past winners have seen their image sales soar along with interest in their photography. We're often approached by picture buyers wanting to source images and our galleries are amongst the most visited pages on the whole Travel Photographer of the Year website.

The best images feature in the beautiful TPOTY "Journey" portfolio books as well as our exhibitions, featuring the winning images from the awards, at the Royal Geographical Society.”

Kimberley was selected as a multi-category finalist for the Eyes on Asia Awards 2013 and won the professional Sense of Place category.

“The Eyes on Asia Awards are looking for images that are positive, uplifting, inspiring, sometimes funny or quirky. Images that inspire the viewer to want to travel to unique and beautiful places across Asia & Oceania; Images that make you want to pack your bag, jump on a plane and disappear to an exotic island, a mountain range, or a jungle. We want images that show us something familiar, yet with a new perspective, and give the viewer a ‘sense of place’.

The Eyes on Asia Awards does not want photojournalistic, gritty and/or troubling images. There are other contests covering those topics. We do not aim to make political statements or to focus in on the misery of others. While we look certainly for high quality photography, this is a contest that likes to celebrate travel and the beauty of life. We do not want to show the dirty and troubled side of a country, which in many cases you certainly may also find if you look for it.”
