Autumn Reflections in Keswick
Following on from my previous blog post, the next destination in my autumnal exploration was Keswick, or to be more precise – the ever sensational Derwentwater. Shot by almost every landscape photographer in the UK, we all head here to try and capture that special shot which stands us apart from the rest – whether or not we manage is completely dependent on the weather, and the people viewing our work – hopefully you’ll feel that I did this fabulous place justice…
“The most northerly of the Lake District’s major towns, Keswick has perhaps the most beautiful location of all: encircled by cloud-capped fells and nestled alongside the idyllic, island-studded lake of Derwentwater, a silvery curve crisscrossed by puttering cruise boats. It’s also brilliantly positioned for further adventures into the nearby valleys of Borrowdale and Buttermere.” – Lonely Planet
As with my previous post, rather than go into detail about each shot I’ll just let them do the talking; as for locations, if you would like to know the exact spot where I took any of the following images then please leave me a comment and I’ll do my best to describe it for you – but as a whole they were all taken at the northern end of the lake.
